Accommodations

The expedition will be staying at the Ayelet Hotel (https://ayelethotel.co.il/kibbutz-accommodation/), to the east of Tel Hazor. It is just next to the tel, which means the journey to the site in the morning will be only ten minutes, giving us a little more sleep before work starts!
Rooms are designed to house two or three people. All the rooms equipped with air-conditioner, ensuite bathroom, TV and refrigerator. The kibbutz also has a swimming pool, soccer field, a supermarket, and a laundromat. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodging area of the property.

We recommend you download the Moovit app for public transportation in Israel, prior to your arrival. This app allows you to find the best route for your destination and to pay for your travel through the app (you cannot pay for buses by cash). One can also purchase a rav-kav card and load it from station kiosks for use on buses and trains.

Participants may stay at the kibbutz during the weekends and relax or travel on their own. During the weekends (from Friday after the work day through Saturday), only dinner will be provided. No meals will be provided on Sunday, apart from the first Sunday of the season.

The excavation operates with few rules of conduct and regulations. Serious misconduct or irresponsibility which endangers others may result in dismissal from the excavations.
